The only tool you need is a screwdriver—we recommenda Phillips head or a power drill (if you have one). Before youget started, take a minute to read through the instructions.
- Open your suitcase, lay it flat, and remove the removable lining on the side that has the broken wheel(s).
- If your bag has tape covering the screws, remove the tape and set the pieces aside.
- Unscrew all screws, with their washers if washers are present on each screw, and remove the damaged wheel from the exterior of the bag.
- Slide the new wheel into place. For carry-ons, replace black inner wheel reinforcement too.
• Pro tip! Different screws may be used in different areas of the wheel.
• Sort your screws while you work to remember which go where.
• If you have a Carry-On or Bigger Carry-On, there will be 5 screws and an inner wheel housing. Remove and set aside.
• If you have a Medium or Large, there will be 4 screws and the inner wheel reinforcement will be integrated with the base of the trolley or the base handle. Simply unscrew the four screws that attach the wheel and set aside – the reinforcement should remain attached and in place.
- Line up the screws (with washers if present) with the wheel’s screw holes.
- Insert screws into screw holes, and screw until they can twist no further.
- Cover with tape, zip the lining, and voilà!
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

- Open your suitcase and lay the luggage flat.
- Remove the compression pad from the webbing straps and set aside. Unzip the removable lining, pull webbing straps through the grommets to completely detach, set aside, and expose the inner trolley.
- The trolley has four screws at the top and two screws at the base of the poles. If your bag has tape covering the screws, remove tape, and set it aside for later.
- Unscrew the two screws at the base of the poles and four screws at the top (the ones that are between the poles — not the screws that are attached at the top of the shell beneath the top handle).
• Pro tip! Different screws may be used in different areas of the suitcase. Sort your screws while you work to remember which go in the top, and which go in the base.
- The trolley is attached to an inner reinforcement at the top, which is integrated with the top handle, and a brace at the bottom. Once the screws are removed, pull the metal trolley poles out of their plastic brace at the bottom of your suitcase and pull the trolley out by the exterior handle. The top reinforcement and the brace will remain attached to the bag and in place.
- Slide the new trolley into place.
- Fit the base of the aluminum poles into the plastic brace at the base of your suitcase.
- Ensure that all six screw holes align, taking care to use the correct screw type in the correct location, and screw until screws can twist no further.
- Cover screws with tape, replace the removable lining, and voilà!
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

- Unzip the removable lining, completely detach, and set aside.
- If your bag has tape covering the screws, remove tape and set tape aside for later.
- Unscrew the two screws on the lock casing and remove the black casing. Set the casing aside for later use.
- Push the lock from the interior outward to pop the lock out of the shell.
- Take the new lock and insert it into the hole with the numbers facing away from the zippers.
- Cover the new lock with the black casing and insert the two new screws. Casing should be attached with screw holes in top right and bottom left corners. Pro tip! The zipper for the removable lining sits right next to the lock and might get in the way when replacing the casing. Be sure to slip the top of the lock casing underneath the zipper first when attaching the casing.
- Cover screws, zip up the lining, and voilà! Go ahead and set your new code – but make sure to write the code down for easy reference later.
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

- Open your suitcase and lay it flat.
- Move the compression pad out of the way and unzip the lining. Note: Zipper pulls may be reversed to ensure nothing snags on the lining. Check under the laundry bag for the zipper and use a pen to carefully wedge the lining open.
- Once the lining is unzipped, see where the foot connects to the shell. If your suitcase has tape covering the screws, remove the tape and set it aside for now.
- Unscrew the two screws.
- If you see a metal protective plate or washers, remove them and set them aside for now.
- Hold the new foot in place from the shell exterior and line up the protective plate with the screw holes. Tip: You can also tape the replacement foot in place to the outside shell while you tighten the screws from the interior.
- Replace the screws one by one until they're all screwed in tightly.
- Zip up the lining.
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

The only tool you need is a screwdriver—we recommenda Phillips head or a power drill (if you have one). Before youget started, take a minute to read through the instructions.
- Open your suitcase and lay it flat.
- First, remove the compression pad. You can do this by taking the individual straps out from inside their corresponding C-shaped clips attached to the compression pad. Set the compression pad aside with C-shaped clips still attached.
- Unzip the lining. Lift up the lining so that you can see where the straps connect to the shell. Note: Zipper pulls may be reversed to ensure nothing snags on the lining. Check under the laundry bag for the zipper and use a pen to carefully wedge the lining open.
- Unscrew the D-shaped wireframe that holds the strap to the luggage and the plate that sits under the screw.
- Discard the damaged strap.
- Replace the compression pad strap by placing the replacement screw and the D-shaped wireframe and plate over the lining hole. Make sure to align each piece with the screw hole. Tip: Before screwing in fully, rearrange the plate so that it sits straight.
- Replace the screws one by one until they're all screwed in tightly.
- Zip the lining and reattach the compression pad by inserting the strap back into the C-shaped clip.
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.

- Move the compression pad out of the way and unzip the lining. Note: Zipper pulls may be reversed to ensure nothing snags on the lining. Check under the laundry bag for the zipper and use a pen to carefully wedge the lining open. If you are replacing the side handle, remove the webbing after opening the lining.
- If your suitcase has tape covering the screws, remove the tape and set the pieces aside for now.
- If you're replacing the top handle near the lock: Unscrew the four screws that attach the top handle. Your suitcase may have a removable inner reinforcement piece. If the casing is removable, set the reinforcement aside for now. If you're replacing the side handle: Unscrew the screws attached to the compression pad straps to the left and right of your handle in order to lift the lining.
- Pull the damaged handle from the exterior of the suitcase and discard it.
- Replace the new handle. Tip: The Away logo should be right-side-up when the suitcase is laid flat. You can also replace the reinforcement if you had set it aside.
- Replace the screws one by one until they're all screwed in tightly.
- Replace the tape and zip up the lining.

Before youget started, take a minute to read through the instructions.
- Ensure you have full access to the broken zipper puller’s sliderand bail. If you are able to zip your suitcase, it may be easiest to stand it up and move the sliders to the top.
- Remove any remnants from the broken zipper puller and discard. Make sure zipper slider and zipper bail are fully intact. If either slider or bail are defective, please contact us.
- Take the replacement puller hook (part B) and loop around the slider. Ensure that the puller hook’s face with indentations around the screw hole is facing up so that the screw heads sit inside the indentations after assembly.
- Take the replacement puller (part A) and flip the puller onto its back so that the Away logo is facing down.
- Place the puller under the replacement puller hook to fit the screw holes one on top of the other.
- Use the mini magnetized screwdriver to pick up the screws by the screw head.
- Drag screws one by one connecting it to the replacement puller and hook. Screws should be wound tightly so that there is no movement between the puller and the hook, and so that the screw heads are flush with the replacement puller hook after assembly.
- Flip your puller over to see the Away logo and voila!
- The threads of the screws have a pre-applied “thread locker” to strengthen the assembly of the screws and the puller body. For best results, please wait 48 hours for the thread locker to cure completely before using the assembled replacement puller.
That’s it! You’re good to get back on the road again.
